Herbalism is the best gathering profession for making money in Vanilla World of Warcraft / WoW Classic because the herbs are used by alchemists to create potions and flasks. The demand for potions and flasks is constant and high because end-game raiders use them to progress through content. Here’s our guide for leveling your Herbalism 1-300:
1-50 – Elwynn Forest (Alliance)
1-50 – Mulgore (Horde)
50-75 – Westfall (Alliance)
50-75 – The Barrens (Horde)
75-115 – Loch Modan (Alliance)
Tip: A lot of Silverleaf tends to spawn on the Trogg island.
75-115 – The Barrens (Horde)
115-205 – Arathi Highlands
Tips: Make sure you get close enough to the Ogre mountain to see if there are herbs there. A lot of Liferoot spawns around the lake in Witherbark Village.
205-230 – Searing Gorge
Tips: It’s easiest to just follow the red route on the map, circling the zone. However, a lot of Firebloom can spawn inside the Cauldron, so sometimes it may be worth jumping down to farm them. The good news is you can see whether there are herbs down there before you actually jump down.
230-270 – Felwood
Tips: For the most part, you can just run along the road and see all of the herbs. Occasionally you’ll want to stray off the path through Irontree Woods in the north and through the Felpaw camp in the south.
270-285 – Un’Goro Crater
Tip: Stay relatively close to the cliffs around the entire zone.
285-300 – Eastern Plaguelands
Tips: Avoid the ziggurat camps, Plaguewood, and Corin’s Crossing. Although herbs spawn in these areas, they are closely surrounded by undead and thus it’s easy to die.
